Why would I want a wedding video. Isn't a photographer enough? Photographs are important part of capturing the special moments in our lives, but they can't tell the whole story. Only video can capture the nuances of motion in time and the many sounds of the day. As the years go by, video will allow you to relive you special day and share it with future generations of your family. Â
Can't I have a family member or friend create a video of my wedding?  A wedding is a one-take event, with no chances to go back and re-shoot mistakes or missed shots. When a family member or friend videos your wedding, their focus is split between watching the wedding and recording the video. It's real easy for them to miss something important.
Odds are they are using a consumer level video camera. These cameras use a single chip for imaging and don't capture near the picture quality of professional level cameras which use 3 chip imaging sensors. Also, consumer video cameras generally don't provide good quality audio.  We use professional level wireless microphones and other audio recorders which will help assure great sound. Â
What is High Definition format and Blu-Ray Disc? Standard Definition (SD) is 480 lines of resolution. High Definition (HD) is typically 720 or 1080 lines of resolution. The TVs in most homes are SD. Most LCD and Plasma TVs on the market today are HD and are capable of showing the higher resolution.Â
Think about Blu-Ray as an advanced version of a DVD disc. Blu-Ray optical discs are used to store large amounts of data, which is suitable for high-definition video.  With a Blu-ray Disc player and an HD-TV, you see an amazingly sharp and crisp picture with incredible colors.
If you choose to have a Blu-ray disc created, you need to be aware that you will need an HD TV and a Blu-ray disc player. Â
